Detectives in Kariega are seeking the community's assistance after yet another kidnapping took place on Wednesday.
Spokesperson Colonel Priscilla Naidu says 43-year-old Lu Xiao was abducted outside his place of employment at a mall in Kariega, just before 6 pm.
She says Xiao stopped his VW Crafter minibus closing a gate behind him when two unknown men accosted him and forced him into a white Isuzu double cab bakkie.
Naidu says his vehicle was driven away by one of the suspects.
She says the motive for the kidnapping is unclear.
Anyone who can assist in the investigation is urged to contact the police.
In March, Sonam Gajjar (34) was taken in Mosel Road in Kariega but has since been released after a ransom amount was paid.
