Children killed in N2 accident near Riversdale identified

The two young family members who died in a head-on collision on the N2 on Sunday have been identified.

Authorities closed the road between Albertinia and Riversdale as a result of Sunday's crash.

Western Cape traffic chief Kenny Africa said the gruesome accident occurred between a bakkie and a car was apparently caused by a tyre burst.

The victims were identified as the 18-year-old Leejane November who went to Albertina High School and 8-year-old Monte Elbrink who was a learner at Voorwaarts Primary School in Riversdale.
