Four children were rushed to hospital on Wednesday morning following a near-drowning incident at Herolds Bay near George.
ER24 said their paramedics arrived on scene to find the children on the beach and teachers were found providing the children with first aid.
Spokesperson, Russel Meiring, said medics assessed the two girls and two boys, aged between 10 and 14, and found that one had sustained moderate injuries while the three others had sustained minor injuries.
“The children were treated and thereafter transported to George Provincial Hospital for further assessment,” he said.
The details surrounding this incident are not yet known.
