A 10-year-old boy was mauled to death by two family-owned Pitbulls in Gelvandale, Gqeberha on Monday.
Police spokesperson Colonel Priscilla Naidu says police were called to the house in Antia Drive around 1:15 pm.
She says police arrived at the scene and they were forced to shoot and kill the two dogs.
Colonel Naidu says Storm Nuku died on the scene but there were other two children in the house as well.
It is not clear what caused the two dogs to turn on the boy at this stage.
Police have opened an inquest docket.
