A little girl who was found murdered at a vandalised house in Airport Valley in Gqeberha on Monday afternoon has been identified.
Spokesperson Captain Sandra Janse van Rensburg says the victim was 8-year-old Taslin Lucas from the Marikana informal settlement in Walmer Location.
She says Lucas, who was reportedly last seen on Friday, was found with burn wounds on her body.
Police officers of the Walmer police station responded to a complaint of a body lying in the house at approximately 5 pm where community members pointed her out.
Lucas was not reported missing.
Police are appealing to anyone who can assist in the investigation or help trace the suspects to contact their nearest police station.

The motive for the murder is not yet known.
An autopsy must still be conducted to determine the exact cause of death but a murder docket has been opened for investigation.
