Child falls to his death from block of flats in Algoa Park - Gqeberha

Community members in Algoa Park in Gqeberha were left traumatized on Wednesday morning when a child fell to his death from a block of flats.

Police spokesperson Colonel Priscilla Naidu says the incident happened at the SAPS residential flats in Algoa Park where the victim was living with his mother on the 11th floor.

She says six-year-old Liabona Plaatjies fell from a bedroom window.

Circumstances surrounding the fall are yet to be established.

Colonel Naidu says locals were too traumatized to talk to police when they arrived on the scene.

An inquest docket has been opened.
