Child electrocuted in Motherwell -Gqeberha

A child from Motherwell in Gqeberha has died after being electrocuted when she touched a fence.

Police spokesperson Captain Andre Beetge says four-year-old Qhamani Mange was walking to a nearby shop in Unit 9 when she touched a wire fence of one of the houses in the street.

He says it is suspected that an illegal connection at the house was in contact with the fence.

Mange died on the scene.

Police have opened an inquest docket.
