Four people have been arrested for the illegal possession of firearms on a chicken farm near Mdantsane, East London.
Lieutenant Nkosikho Mzuku says three men and a woman aged between 20 and 29 were arrested on Tuesday.
He said police had suspected illegal activities and had been monitoring the farm for some time.
Five rifles, a shotgun, pellet gun, 495 rounds of ammunition, cellphones, knives, watches, and binoculars were confiscated.
Mzuku said the group would appear in the Mdantsane Magistrate's Court soon on charges of possession of unlicensed firearms, ammunition, and possible stolen goods.
