Police in Port Elizabeth arrested a 26-year-old man after he showed police where he dumped the charred body of a missing 25-year-old woman.
Police Spokesperson Captain Andre Beetge says Azintle Feni was reported as missing by her family on Monday night and was last seen going to a party.
Police worked around the clock and followed up on numerous leads which lead them to a suspect's house in Ikamvelihle.
Beetge says traces of blood was found in the suspect's car as well as in his bedroom and on his bed.
With further investigation and interrogation the suspect lead police to a location deep inside the bushes next to Chalumna Street in Motherwell, where the charred remains of Feni were found.
Beetge says the remains of a burnt tyre was also found with the body.
The suspect was arrested on the spot and will appear in court on Monday.
