Charges have been withdrawn against a truck driver who cut the railing on a centre aisle in Port Elizabeth's Govan Mbeki Avenue after his truck became stuck.
Johan Venter was arrested last week on a charge of malicious damage to property when he cut part of a railing to free his vehicle after he tried to turn into the main street.
The road in parts of North End has become too narrow for trucks to pass following the introduction of the BRT system.
Yesterday, state prosecutors decided to withdraw the case against Venter.
