The Chief Financial Officer of the Chris Hani District Municipality, Nomfundo Fetsha, has appeared in the Port Elizabeth Commercial Crimes Court.
Fetsha, along with her co-accused, Mfundo Kwani and his company, Mfuraa Projects and General CC, has been charged with counts of fraud, theft and forgery.
This relates to an alleged request by Fetsha to a company for a R100 000 donation which was later transferred to Kwani's company.
This was allegedly done without providing the necessary documentation as required by the Municipal Finance Management Act.
The pair was granted bail of two-thousand rands each and are due back in court on the 5th of April.
