Cash-in-transit heist in Port Elizabeth

Port Elizabeth police are searching for three armed men, following a cash-in-transit heist in Cleary Park on Wednesday afternoon.

Spokesperson, Captain Sandra Janse van Rensburg says a man was collecting money at the municipal offices, when he was approached by the suspects on his way out.

She says he was held at gunpoint, and disarmed.

Janse van Rensburg says the suspects fled in a vehicle with an undisclosed amount of cash.
