Investigators from the civil aviation authority have begun the probe into this weekend's plane crash near Uitenhage which killed two Port Elizabeth brothers.
CAA spokesperson, Phindiwe Magwebu, says two investigators arrived in the Eastern Cape on Saturday to begin the probe into the crash which killed Barney and Lumon van Eeden.
Their light plane went down on the farm Syfergat in Kruisfontein near Uitenhage on Satuday morning.
According to a local report 35 year old Lumon would have qualified this week as a commercial pilot.
Police have opened and inquest docket.
