Two children of a Butterworth priest found their father lying dead in a pool of blood in his house in the Eastern Cape town over the weekend.
Police Captain Jackson Manatha says the 46-year-old Anglican Church priest had multiple upper body injuries, possibly caused by a sharp instrument.
He says the motive for the attack is not clear, as some of his items and belongings were found in the house.
Police are investigating a case of murder.
