A Butterworth man has been arrested for hijacking a vehicle using a toy gun.
Police spokesperson, captain Jackson Manatha, says the 39-year-old man was arrested on Thursday afternoon driving around the town in the hijacked vehicle.
He says a woman had given a lift to two men in the morning, when one of them pulled out a gun and ordered her out of the car. The second man, who was unconnected to the suspect, fled the scene.
Manatha says the would-be hijacker will appear in court next week.
