A Butterworth man has been arrested for allegedly raping a woman in front of her husband at knife-point in a village near Butterworth.
Police spokesperson, Captain Jackson Manatha says the suspect found the couple sleeping and demanded to know where his girlfriend was.
He says when the couple told him that they had no knowledge of his girlfriend, he allegedly drew his knife and threatened them.
Manatha says the man then allegedly pushed the 37-year old woman to another bed and raped her at knife-point, in front of her husband.
When the attacker fell asleep, the couple alerted the police.
Manatha says the 23-year-old is expected to appear in court on Tuesday.
