A day after the annual crime stats were released, the validity of which are being questioned by many political commentators, the police continue to be kept busy.
Two house robbery suspects were arrested after a high speed-chase by police on the R102 between Jeffreys Bay and Humansdorp on Wednesday morning.
According to the police, three unknown suspects broke into a 69-year-old's woman's home in Jeffery's Bay.
They took valuables and fled the scene in the victim's car.
She alerted police and members of Humansdorp Crime Prevention and K-9 units responded and pulled the vehicle over, arresting the two suspects.
A third suspect is still at large.
Meanwhile: Port Elizabeth police are looking for at least two suspects after a Pari Park couple was robbed in their home in the early hours of Wednesday morning.
Captain Johann Rheeder says the robbers threatened the couple at knife point and then tied them up.
The suspects fled with cellphones and jewellery and three firearms.
