Buffalo City Municipality has issued a warning to the public about two fake messages doing the rounds offering jobs at the Metro.
Spokesperson, Samnkelo Ngwenya, said the ‘advert’ is accompanied by a ‘circular’ on a BCM letterhead advertising 100 trainee traffic officer positions.
“Both these are fake,” he said.
Ngwenya said Buffalo City Metro would be opening a criminal case with the police.
He also urged anyone who may have information about those behind this to come forward.
Ngwenya said the Municipality does not charge anyone who applies for employment.
