The two hostile witnesses in the Christopher Panayiotou murder case were seen together in the Port Elizabeth Magistrates Court on Thursday morning.

Babalwa Breakfast, the girlfriend of the alleged middleman Luthando Siyoni, appeared on a charge of perjury and Defeating the Ends of Justice.

The 23-year-old was arrested during the trial last year after she was declared a hostile witness.

Breakfast's testimony contradicted her previous statement where she told the police that Siyoni told her of Panayiotou's plans to have his wife, Jayde, murdered.

Alleged middleman, Siyoni is no longer in police custody and remains a section 204 witness until the end trial when the Judge will rule on his testimony.

Judge Dayalin Chetty told Siyoni on the day he was sworn in as a witness that if he is found not to be truthful, he will be charged on four counts and therefore lose his immunity.

Siyoni's about-turn came shortly after his girlfriend Babalwa's testimony. Siyoni testified for several day's and was eventually also declared hostile.

Breakfast is due back in court on the 17th of February for the Director of Public Prosecution's decision.

The Christopher Panayiotou trial will resume on the 19th of April.
