An 81-year-old woman was arrested for possession of dagga plants in Mente Village on Wednesday.
Police spokesperson Jackson Manatha said Willowvale police were on patrol when they noticed dagga plants in the suspect's garden.
"The police went to the house and found the suspect and they uprooted the plants from the garden. A total of 8 plants to the value of R2 500 were uprooted," Manatha said.
The suspect was charged with possession of dagga plants and suspect was detained.
She was to appearing before the Willowvale Magistrate Court on Thursday.
