Gqeberha police are investigating a break-in at a local holiday accommodation establishment on Marine Drive over the weekend.
Police spokesperson Captain Sandra Janse Van Rensburg said shortly after 2 pm, the complainant had left his room to drop off a friend at the airport.
She said while en route, he received a text notification about money being deducted from his bank account.
Janse Van Rensburg said when the complainant returned to his room, he found the door allegedly kicked open, clothing, and a computer missing.
Police are appealing to anyone who may have information that could assist the investigation, to contact Humewood police.
