Boy drowns in Motherwell, PE

A ten-year-old boy has drowned in a public pool in Motherwell, Port Elizabeth.

Netcare 911's Santi Steinman says when paramedics arrived at the scene on Saturday, he was already dead.

Eastern Cape police have expressed concern at the increasing number of deaths in the province as a result of drowning.

This, as the number of drownings in December climbed to 46.

The victims include children, circumcision initiates and adults.
