Bottle store robbed along the R62 in Misgund

Police in Joubertina have launched a manhunt for three men who robbed a liquor store next to the R62 in Misgund on Friday.

Police Spokesperson Captain Gerda Swart says it is alleged that the three men entered the bottle store at about 3.30 pm when one of them assaulted the shop keeper with a piece of iron.

The men took an undisclosed amount of cash from the cash register and fled the scene on foot.

Swart says detectives are following up on all leads and an arrest is imminent.
