Police in George are looking for information on a man who called in a bomb threat at Checkers in St George's Square on Tuesday.
Police spokesperson Captain Malcolm Pojie says the bomb squad, police as well as the K9 unit in George were deployed late in the afternoon.
He says staff and patrons of Checkers had to evacuate the building after a male caller phoned in and said that there was a bomb in the building that would explode within minutes.
He says no bomb was found and the building was declared safe.
Pojie asks anyone with information about the false threat to contact the George police.
