A man claiming to be a doctor was arrested on Friday after walking into a Mount Frere hospital wanting to treat patients, the
Eastern Cape health department said.
Spokesman Sizwe Kupelo says he was Wearing a stethoscope, got into the wards at the Madzikane Ka Zulu Memorial Hospital and insisted on seeing patients
He says according to his report the man looked like he was intoxicated.
Nurses raised the alarm and police were called.
The company responsible for providing security at the hospital would have to account for how the man was able to get into the
wards.
