Port Elizabeth K9 Search and Rescue unit members have recovered the body of 51-year-old Sean Chapple who went missing on Monday.
Captain Sandra Janse van Rensburg says his body was found in the Baviaanskloof area after information was received that he was seen driving through Patensie.
At approximately 11h30 on Tuesday, police recovered Chapple’s BMW GS1200 motor cycle at a camping site.
His body was located a short while later and Patensie police have opened an inquest. No foul play is suspected.
Chapple was last seen leaving his residence in Lorraine on his motorbike and the family subsequently reported him missing at the Walmer police station in Port Elizabeth.
