The body of a Port Elizabeth policeman, 34-year-old Michael van der Watt, has been found.
Police spokesperson, Colonel Priscilla Naidu, says the body was found in the Van Stadens gorge at about four o'clock on Thursday afternoon, about two kilometres from where police found his bicycle yesterday.
Naidu says Van der Watt had a single gunshot wound to the head, and that they do not suspect any foul play.
The policeman was last seen by a colleague who dropped him off at his Rowallen Park home on Sunday.
Neighbours reported seeing someone in cycling gear leaving his home at around six o'clock on Monday morning.
