Police in Port Elizabeth are investigating a case of murder after the body of an unknown man was found near a rubbish dump in Kleinskool on Tuesday morning.
A police spokesperson Colonel Priscilla Naidu says they received an anonymous tip-off about a body lying near a refuse dump opposite the Kleinskool main road just before 7.30 am.
She says his injuries are so severe that they were unable to determine the race of the victim.
The man sustained serious head and facial injuries and both his feet were slightly burnt.
Colonel Naidu says they believe that the body was dumped at the scene.
She says the victim was wearing black pants with a grey top.
The motive for the murder is unknown at this stage.
