The body of a little girl has been found in the sea near George and police suspect that it might be that of the 2-year-old child who was with her mother when their vehicle plunged down a cliff at Voëlklip near Herold's Bay on 21 January.
The woman's 8-year-old son fell out of the vehicle before it went over the cliff.
He survived the incident.
Police spokesperson, Captain Malcolm Pojie says a fisherman found the body in the sea between Kleinkrantz and Swartvlei on Thursday.
He says the National Sea Rescue Institute recovered the body.
Pojie says DNA tests will be done to determine if it is the same child.
