Twenty-five days after the body of a young girl was found in a gorge at Van Der Kempskloof in Bethelsdorp, Port Elizabeth, police are no closer to identifying her remains or those responsible for her murder.
The girl's body was found on Youth day last month by four friends walking their dogs.
Police spokesperson Colonel Priscilla Naidu said today that no one had come forward with any information on the child's identity nor has anyone between the ages of 10 and 12 been reported missing.
A post mortem revealed that the child had been sexually assaulted and strangled.
Naidu said they have compiled an identikit which will be released to the media soon.
