Graaff Reinet man found strangled in his bathroom with hands tied

Graaff Reinet police are investigating the murder of a 50-year-old man who's body was found in his home in Church Street on Monday.

Police spokesperson, Warrant Officers Johannes Theron, says the man's employer became suspicious when he did not show up for work and contacted the police.

He says the man's body was found in the bathroom with his hands tied.

Theron says it appears that he had been strangled.

The victim's name has not yet been released.
