Mongameli Bobani's bid to be reinstated as the executive mayor of Nelson Mandela Bay has suffered a setback.
Bobani filed an urgent court application to be reinstated after he was removed from office in a vote of no-confidence during a dramatic council meeting earlier this month.
On Thursday High Court judge, John Smith read out the judgment of presiding judge Lisa Ntsepe.
The Port Elizabeth High Court has dismissed the urgency of Bobani's application to be reinstated as the NMB Excutive Mayor, with costs.
Bobani's legal representative Danie Gouws said the matter will be made in another court.
