A Blue Bulls junior loose forward rugby player will only apply for bail next week.
The Bulls have confirmed he was arrested on allegations of sexual assault on New Years Day but adds it will only comment on the matter once the legal process has been concluded.
The 19-year-old former South African schools representative and Grey High School pupil, hails from Port Elizabeth.
His legal representative Philip Masiza says his client, who may not be named until he has pleaded, appeared in the New Brighton court in Port Elizabeth on Tuesday.
