The Vodacom Blue Bulls say it will only issue a statement on Friday on the outcome of the bail hearing of one of its players who is charged with rape and robbery.
The 19-year-old Blue Bulls loose forward was granted bail of 10-thousand Rand in Port Elizabeth's New Brighton Magistrate's Court on Thursday morning.
Blue Bulls spokesperson, Shanil Mangaroo, says it will be irresponsible to comment now without having all the information and without consulting relevant stakeholders including the Blue Bulls CEO.
Earlier, Magistrate Una Rhodes found that exceptional circumstances existed that warranted the player's release on bail.
The player said via his legal counsel that he would plead not guilty to the charges.
The case was postponed until March 27.
