Police in Kwanobuhle, Port Elizabeth have launched a manhunt for the killers responsible for fatally stabbing a 55-year-old blind woman.
Spokesperson, Colonel Priscilla Naidu, says Thobeka Goxa was found lying on her bedroom floor with multiple stab wounds to the left side of her chest.
Her boyfriend and caregiver discovered her body at 9 am on Tuesday.
It is believed that the caregiver had left Goxa inside a locked house at about 4 pm on Monday and returned on Tuesday when her body was found.
Colonel Naidu says when the caregiver arrived at the house the kitchen door and security gate was wide open.
She says there were no forced signs of entry into the house and at this stage, it is unclear if anything was stolen.
It is also believed that the deceased would not open the door to anyone whose voice she did not recognise.
