Eastern Cape Human Settlements MEC, Helen Sauls-August will hand over two parcels of land to metal workers union Numsa on Friday.
The Department says the land was purchased in Nelson Mandela Bay for R50m and will used for housing developments for union members.
Human Settlements spokesperson, Lwandile Sicwetsha, says another parcel of land will be used to build 110 low cost houses for Helenvale families.
He says they will be relocated to this area on completion of the project in Parsons Vlei.
