The Templeton High School in Bedford is closed for a third day, with the governing body saying it has not received any feedback from Eastern Cape Education MEC, Mandla Makupula.
The governing body has decided to close the school over the non-payment of temporary teachers, and the general shortage of educators.
The chairperson of the body, Thabiso Makawu, says the hostel has also been closed and the children were told to go home.
Makawu says the only word they have received from the department is that the learners and teachers must return to school.
