Buffalo City Metro Municipality has released samples of the latest water quality test in an attempt to encourage residents to have confidence and make use of the metro's water.
Spokesperson, Samkelo Ngwenya says they have noticed that private establishments are selling filtered water under the pretense that Municipal water is unsafe to drink and this is far from the truth.
He says BCM is mandated, as a Water Services Provider, to monitor the quality of water supplied to consumers.
Ngwenya says Buffalo City Water is deemed to be amongst the top water services providers in the country in terms of the quality of its drinking water.
He says the results of the current report will be tabled at a Council meeting on 2 June.
