East London police are appealing for help in tracking down a man who was caught in the act by the Municipality's water services inspectors who were investigating a pipe burst that affected Needs Camp, Ncera Village and Kaysers Beach on Monday.
Municipality spokesperson, Keith Ngesi says inspectors were investigating the cause of a pipe burst which left the areas without water for over a week when they saw the suspect who threatened them and fled into the nearby bushes.
Ngesi told Algoa fm news that the suspect was seen digging and cutting pipes but however the problem was fixed costing the Municipality R150 000 to replace a water tanker which was damaged by the pipe burst.
