The Buffalo City Command Centre says they currently have only 44 active cases of Covid-19 in the Metro.
A spokesperson for the Buffalo City Metro (BCM) Samkelo Ngwenya says whilst progress has been made, a second wave is still possible.
He expressed his concern at the casual behaviour of residents who seem to have forgotten that the country is still under Level 1.
