A prominent medical doctor from Kwadwesi in Gqeberha was killed on Sunday in a head-on collision on the R75.
Spokesperson for Provincial Traffic Unathi Bingqose says three others also perished on the scene which happened at about 3 am at the Uitenhage Road/ Johnson Road Junction.
He says Dr Lungisa Excel Nojoko was driving in his bakkie when it collided with an Opel Corsa sedan with 3 occupants.
The driver of the Corsa has been identified as TL Kolweni, but his two passengers are yet to be identified.
A case of culpable homicide is under investigation with New Brighton SAPS.
