A 69-year old resident from Mossel Bay recently finished her grade 7 ballet exams.
Marianne van der Merwe–van der Lecq passed the grade 7 Royal Academy of Dance ballet exams at the age of 69 with a distinction.
The average age to complete this exam is around 15 years of age.
Marianne said that doing ballet at her age has various health benefits and that she could not think of a better way to go into her 70th birthday year.
