The bail application of a Port Elizabeth couple charged with the rape of their 14 year old foster child will continue in the city's magistrate's court on Wednesday.
Police have meanwhile arrested a third suspect in the case.
Police captain Sandra Janse Van Rensburg says members of the Family Violence, Child Protection and Sexual Offences Unit, arrested the 48 year old man in Cape Town.
She says the investigating officer, Captain Sanet Winter, has linked him and the Rowallan Park couple already in custody to the alleged rape of another victim, a nine-year-old girl.
Janse Van Rensburg says the third suspect is in custody in Cape Town and will be transferred to Port Elizabeth where he will face two counts of rape.
