Bail has been denied for a 29-year old Nigerian national, who stands accused of murdering a man at a mosque in South End, Port Elizabeth.
Mohammed Aliko was arrested earlier this month for the murder of 44-year old Muhammed Laher.
Laher, who was wheelchair-bound, died after he was assaulted and stabbed in the ear with a pencil while praying inside the mosque during the Muslim holy month of Ramadaan.
Aliko, a NMMU Human Resource honours student, was arrested after returning to the mosque for prayers.
