Bail applications to get underway for murder suspect and fugitive couple

Twenty-nine year old Muhammed Aliko has made a brief appearance in the Port Elizabeth magistrates court in connection with the murder of a worshipper in a South End mosque last Thursday.
Forty-four-year-old Mohammad Laher, who was wheelchair bound, died after being assaulted with a cable and stabbed with a pencil.
The case was postponed until Tuesday for a formal bail application.
Meanwhile a bail application will also get underway on Tuesday for a fugitive couple who allegedly stole jewellery from show houses across the country.
Noel and Tanya Solomon were arrested by the Port Elizabeth flying squad on Wednesday night.
