Eastern Cape police are looking for the mother of a baby who was found abandoned in Maclear on Saturday.
Spokesperson Captain Ursula Roelofse says a person heard a baby crying and discovered the boy between some trees.
She says the child is believed to be about two-months-old.
The baby was taken to hospital for a check-up and is currently in a place of safety.
Any person who can assist police can contact the Child Protection Unit in Elliot.
