Axed metro deputy mayors redeployed to Bhisho

The Eastern Cape legislature has confirmed that the two former deputy mayors of Buffalo City and Nelson Mandela Bay, have been redeployed to Bhisho.

In a statement issued on Monday, the Eastern Cape Legislature announced that Speaker Noxolo Kiviet, had sworn in axed Buffalo City deputy mayor Temba Tinta and former Metro deputy mayor, Chippa Ngcolomba, as Members of the Provincial Legislature.

Tinta and ousted Buffalo City mayor, Zukiswa Ncitha, currently face charges of fraud and corruption related to the Mandela funeral saga.

Ncitha has reportedly been redeployed to the National Council of Provinces.

Ngcolomba meanwhile was ousted from the Nelson Mandela Bay Council following the recent introduction of SAFA president Danny Jordaan as the new mayor for Nelson Mandela Bay and the return of Biks Ndoni.
