Humansdorp police cluster commander, Brigadier Neil Jantjies, has commended the swift reaction of Storms River police who arrested to suspected rapists.
The men, aged 25 and 26, allegedly attacked and raped a 47-year-old American woman who was jogging in the Tsitsikamma area on Sunday.
Police spokesperson, Warrant Officer, Gerda Swart, says the rape survivor is an American national who is currently teaching at an American School in Gauteng.
She says the suspects will appear in court on Wednesday.
Brigadier Jantjies said that crimes against women and children are a priority for the police who will leave no stone unturned when investigating such cases.
