Civil Aviation officials are expected to start their investigation this morning into an incident in which a light aircraft made an emergency landing near Redhouse outside Port Elizabeth late yesterday afternoon.
The sole occupant of the two-seater Cessna 152 trainer, an unknown woman, was not injured.
According to posts on Facebook, the crew of a commercial flight from Johannesburg circled the area shortly after the incident, and asked passengers to also be on the look-out for the light plane.
Emergency services arrived at the scene shortly afterwards.
