Seven men are due to appear in court in Port Elizabeth on Tuesday for allegedly plotting to blow up an ATM.
They were arrested on Saturday night in Kwazakehele.
Police lieutenant-colonel Priscilla Naidu, says the arrests were carried out by members of Uitenhage Crime Intelligence and the Port Elizabeth K-9 unit following an intensive investigation.
She says the suspects were found to be in posession of 10 explosive power gel cartridges, a detonator, a car battery and charger as well as a bullet proof vest.
